Work by Richard Deacon is included in The museum in motion, the exhibition with which the Musée d'art contemporain de la Haute-Vienne – Château de Rochechouart marks its 40th anniversary. On view from 1 March to 13 December 2026 with free admission, the exhibition draws exclusively on the museum's collections, including works rarely or never shown, and occupies about 1,500 square metres on three floors. It is organised around the idea of movement: the second floor and the attic deal with the body, the gaze, matter and space, while the first floor hosts Raoul Hausmann – L'homme-orchestre. Among the artists are Stephan Balkenhol, Christian Boltanski, Hamish Fulton, Richard Long, Bruce Nauman, Gabriel Orozco, Giulio Paolini, Gerhard Richter and Kiki Smith. The exhibition was conceived and produced by the museum's staff.
