Richard Deacon: Looking for Something at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Skopje

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje presents Richard Deacon: Looking for Something from 3 June to 17 August 2025. The solo exhibition brings together small and medium-sized sculptures and related prints, most of them made over the previous two years: UW84DC #18 and #19 (2024, wood, stainless and mild steel); Ghost, Bear, Small Bear, Bat and Beast from the series In the Woods (2023, wood and aluminium); Tread #9 (2024, stainless steel); Made of This #6 (2023, glazed ceramic); and the digital prints on sublimated polyester Second Motif (2024). The exhibition is realised with the British Council North Macedonia, Dots Gallery, the British Embassy in Skopje and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It is accompanied by excerpts from the text that Jasmina Čubrilo wrote for the catalogue published by Galerija Dots, Belgrade, in 2024. The artist attended the opening.
