Richard Deacon in (In)visible Presence, the inaugural exhibition of Dib Bangkok
Dib Bangkok, Bangkok, Thailand
21 December 2025 – 3 August 2026
Richard Deacon is one of the forty artists in (In)visible Presence, the exhibition that inaugurates Dib Bangkok, a new museum of international contemporary art in Thailand. On view from 21 December 2025 to 3 August 2026, the exhibition draws on the museum's collection and occupies eleven galleries on three floors, about 7,000 square metres, in a 1980s warehouse redesigned by Kulapat Yantrasast of WHY Architecture with Architects 49. Its subject is the way we remember what is dear to us but unseen, explored through sound, scent, light and unconventional materials. The museum was conceived by the late Petch Osathanugrah and realised by his son Purat (Chang) Osathanugrah. The exhibition is curated by Ariana Chaivaranon, under the artistic direction of the museum's inaugural director, Miwako Tezuka. Other artists include Louise Bourgeois, Rebecca Horn, Anselm Kiefer, Jannis Kounellis, Lee Bul, Montien Boonma and James Turrell.
