Galerija Manuš presents an exhibition by Richard Deacon in its Split venue from 29 May to 1 August 2025. The exhibition consists of a selection of drawings and sculptures. The drawings, on a polyester surface, are built from layered geometric and organic abstract forms; the sculptures, among them works from the series Shiver My Timbers, are made of wood and have twisting vertical forms. The accompanying text, by Dalibor Prančević, sets the natural texture of the wood against the gloss of the polyester and reads the drawings as two-dimensional counterparts of the three-dimensional forms. The exhibition follows the artist's first presentation in Croatia, held in 2021 at the Kula Gallery and the Museum of Fine Arts in Split.
