Richard Deacon is one of more than forty sculptors invited by the Royal Society of Sculptors to take part in the 10gram Challenge 2024. Each artist was asked to make a small sculpture from a ten-gram block of wax, which was then cast in bronze at the Milwyn Fine Art Foundry in Surrey. The works were shown and offered for sale in a two-day exhibition hosted by Thomas Dane Gallery, London, in October 2024. The proceeds go to "Creating a Home for Sculptors", the third phase of the restoration of Dora House, the Society's home, which will provide a flat and studio space for visiting artists and a home for the Society's archive. Deacon's contribution, Small Sculpture #28 (2024), is a unique bronze measuring about 0.9 x 13.3 x 1.3 cm, and was sold.
