Francesco De Grandi: Salon Kitty at The Drawing Hall, Grassobbio
The Drawing Hall, Grassobbio (Bergamo), Italy
13 June – 11 July 2026
The Drawing Hall, an independent space in Grassobbio (Bergamo) devoted to contemporary Italian drawing, presents Salon Kitty, a solo exhibition by Francesco De Grandi curated by Gabriele Lorenzoni. The project looks at the relationship between image, desire and representation and sets drawing against the narrative and visual structures of erotic cinema, with reference to the films of Tinto Brass. The exhibition includes leporelli conceived as continuous montages, further drawings, and interventions made directly on the walls, which are not meant to be preserved. The show is accompanied by Quaderno n. 12, with a text by Gabriele Lorenzoni, by a limited-edition print taken from the artist's Atlante di anatomia immaginaria, by the screenprint Fiorellino, made on erotic calendars of the 1970s, and by a documentary produced by The Drawing Hall with Yanzi Srl.
