Francesco De Grandi, Daniele Franzella and Turi Rapisarda take part in Solo che amore ti colpisca. Appunti dall'isola plurale, tra poesia e fotografia, the exhibition conceived and curated by Helga Marsala and promoted by Riso – Museo regionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Palermo at the Real Albergo delle Povere, Corso Calatafimi 217. The exhibition sets Sicilian poetry of the twentieth century, from Salvatore Quasimodo to Jolanda Insana and Ignazio Buttitta, beside photography and newly commissioned works. For the occasion De Grandi made a new work in collaboration with the photographer Fabio Sgroi, a visual reinterpretation of the poem by Quasimodo that gives the exhibition its title; he also designed the lettering of the graphic project by Federico Lupo. Franzella is among the artists commissioned to make new works. The exhibition opens on Thursday 4 July 2024 at 6 pm.
