Gianfranco Maranto

Gianfranco Maranto studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo.
In his work he is constantly looking for a way to appropriate time and space. The use of drawing and painting, always minimal and with a rhythm instinctively based on geometric motions, or the stratification of plastics and other materials that capture and reflect the light, tend towards the encounter between a cognitive dimension and an abstraction drive, components essential within his search for a human place in the world.
