Mattia Barbieri is among the artists of Work in progress, the exhibition with which Studio la Linea Verticale in Bologna marked its third anniversary. On the opening evening, Friday 23 May 2025, the display was built in real time: twelve artists installed their own works in the gallery, while works by other artists, including Barbieri, Navid Azimi Sajadi, Alberto Colliva, Francesca Dondoglio, Monica Mazzone, Samuel Rosi (MUZ) and Lucio Saffaro, were installed by the gallery together with the public. The press release describes the evening as a party, a collective performance and an exhibition at the same time, with no set script or hierarchy. The resulting exhibition was announced until 10 June 2025; the gallery's page reports an extension to 13 June.
