Mattia Barbieri takes part in Novecento. Il secolo lungo, a thematic group exhibition curated by Stefano Castelli at the Milan venue of Galleria Giovanni Bonelli. The exhibition reflects on the aesthetic and political legacy of the twentieth century and places young, mid-career and historical artists in dialogue; many of the works were made for the occasion. Barbieri presents Solve et Coagula, 2024, oil and tempera on panel, 235 x 187 cm. The other artists are BRINANOVARA, Umberto Chiodi, Claudio Costa, Andrea Di Marco, Milli Gandini, Jacopo Martinotti, Jacopo Mazzonelli, Andrea Mirabelli, Gastone Novelli, Andrea Salvino, Mariuccia Secol, Giorgio Silvestrini, Tancredi and Davide Volpi. The exhibition was on view from 12 September to 19 October 2024.
