Mattia Barbieri and Monica Mazzone: Sostanziale-Super-Sostanziale at Studio la Linea Verticale, Bologna

Studio la Linea Verticale in Bologna presents Sostanziale-Super-Sostanziale, a two-person exhibition of Mattia Barbieri and Monica Mazzone made in collaboration with RizzutoGallery and accompanied by a critical text by Pierluca Nardoni. The exhibition opens during Art City Bologna, in parallel with Arte Fiera, where Barbieri is shown at the RizzutoGallery stand. The press release describes it as a dialogue between two independent practices that share a common sensibility; the term "supersostanziale", found in several philosophical traditions, refers to the nourishment of knowledge and to an inner fire. The display moves between two-dimensional and three-dimensional registers and is conceived as a path through a temple. The preview took place on 1 February 2024 and the opening on 2 February, from 9 to 11 pm; the exhibition ran until 9 March 2024.
