Mattia Barbieri takes part in Microcosmi, a group exhibition at Studio la Linea Verticale in Bologna. The gallery asked each artist to work in the smallest format their technique allowed, ideally no larger than 10 x 10 cm. The exhibition text refers to the idea of the microcosm, from classical and Hermetic thought to Bruno, Leibniz, Bohm and Blake, and proposes that the works be experienced for their density rather than their scale. The sixteen artists are Navid Azimi Sajadi, Mattia Barbieri, Ludovico Bomben, Maurizio Bottarelli, Alberto Colliva, Tobia Corradin, Sofia Degli Esposti, Francesca Dondoglio, Mohammed El Hajoui, Michelangelo Galliani, Silvia Inselvini, Monica Mazzone, Valentina Palmi, Marieke Pauwels, Claudio Valerio and Arne Van De Mierop. The exhibition opened on Friday 12 December 2025 and ran until 17 January 2026.
