Mattia Barbieri and Metin Çelik in Two Artists, One Studio at RizzutoGallery Düsseldorf for DC Open 2026

For DC Open 2026, RizzutoGallery Düsseldorf sets aside its usual exhibition format and turns its space into a temporary working studio shared by Mattia Barbieri and Metin Çelik. From 4 to 6 September 2026 the two artists work side by side, each keeping his own tools and language. Works in progress are shown next to finished pieces, together with sketches, books, notes, materials and tools. Visitors can enter freely, talk with the artists and follow the works as they develop; the setting changes over the three days. Barbieri, born in Brescia, lives and works between Milan and New York; his practice spans painting, drawing and sculpture and brings together fragments of art history, popular culture and collective imagery. After the open-studio weekend, works by both artists remain on view until 24 October 2026.
