Mattia Barbieri is one of seven artists in Aesthetic Dialogues, a group exhibition curated by Martina Buttiglieri at Manuel Zoia Gallery, Via Maroncelli 7, Milan. The exhibition sets different approaches to expressive painting side by side: the works combine past and present, the rational and the surreal, symbolic and organic elements, with themes linked to the sacred and to iconographic tradition. It gives room to storytelling and invites reflection on power dynamics and on the way symbolic images shape society and the individual. Alongside Barbieri, the exhibition presents Michele Bubacco, Pietro Di Corrado, Barbara Fragogna, Eric Pasino, Davide Serpetti and Simone Stuto. It opened on 23 May 2024 at 6 pm and ran until 29 June 2024.
