Luigi Presicce presents Malefica Semenza at Il Campo dei Giganti, Nardò

On 21 July 2026 Luigi Presicce presents Malefica Semenza at Il Campo dei Giganti, in Villaggio Boncore, Nardò (Lecce). The performance, conceived for small groups of spectators, uses the form of the tableau vivant to stage the fratricide of Cain and Abel as an archetype, and reflects on the human use of the land, from herding to agriculture. Presicce is the artist who opens the 2026 summer season of Il Campo dei Giganti, the project started in 2020 by Ulderico Tramacere in an olive grove during the Xylella outbreak, which includes the yearly lime-whitewashing ritual called Cura del Bianco. The event is produced and organised by Il Campo dei Giganti, with the support of the Polo Bibliomuseale and Museo Castromediano of Lecce. A critical text by Chiara Agagiù accompanies the performance.
