Lucio Pozzi: The Overlap Paintings at Philip Douglas Fine Art, Hudson, New York

From 2 May to 1 June 2025 Philip Douglas Fine Art, 545 Warren Street, Hudson, New York, held its first solo exhibition of Lucio Pozzi, devoted to his newest paintings and titled The Overlap Paintings. Two Coats of Paint, which listed the show in its Hudson Valley gallery guide as New Work: The Overlap Paintings, announced the opening reception for Saturday 3 May, from 3 to 5 pm, and illustrated it with Solution, a work of 2024 in acrylic and Flashe on panel measuring 36 x 23 5/8 inches. The exhibition was one of several held in the New York area in the months around the artist's ninetieth birthday, at the same time as his survey at Magazzino Italian Art in Cold Spring. The gallery presented a further exhibition by Pozzi, ITNESS, in 2026.
