Spotting: Lucio Pozzi and Lorenza Sannai at Sabine Wachters Fine Arts, Knokke-Heist
Sabine Wachters Fine Arts, Knokke-Heist, Belgium
1 July – 31 October 2025
From July to October 2025 Sabine Wachters Fine Arts, Golvenstraat 11, Knokke-Heist, Belgium, presented Spotting, an exhibition of works by Lucio Pozzi and Lorenza Sannai. In his statement for the show Pozzi describes a recurring attention to spots, marks, shapes and colours that shift under the viewer's gaze: his paintings may depict faces, flowers or geometries, and their intensity lies in the voids between these elements, a void that, in his words, holds them in place rather than separating them. Sannai's work investigates abstract geometries and colour; she furrows the paint with the bristles of the brush so that light registers on the surface, and introduces hints of three-dimensionality that distort perspective. The gallery's page accompanies the exhibition with a biographical note on Pozzi drawn from Magazzino Italian Art, published for his exhibition there in spring 2025.
