Lucio Pozzi in Beauty is a Blast: for Jeremy Gilbert-Rolfe at Art Cake, Brooklyn
Art Cake, Brooklyn, New York, USA
6 April – 27 April 2025
Lucio Pozzi was among the artists of Beauty is a Blast: for Jeremy Gilbert-Rolfe, a memorial group exhibition presented by Art Cake and Christian Haub at Art Cake, 214 40th Street, Brooklyn, from 6 to 27 April 2025. The show paid tribute to Jeremy Gilbert-Rolfe (1945–2024), the English-born painter, critic and educator who moved to the United States in the late 1960s and whose writing and teaching addressed abstraction, beauty and art theory. Revived in late 2024 by Haub, an artist, curator and close friend of Gilbert-Rolfe, in partnership with the Art Cake team and the artist's family, the project brought together works by 200 artists and a selection of Gilbert-Rolfe's own works dating back to 1968, arranged as five separate but related exhibitions. The opening took place on Sunday 6 April, from 4 to 7 pm.
