Lucio Pozzi in Abstract by Definition: An Index, the 90th anniversary exhibition of American Abstract Artists

Art Cake, Brooklyn, New York, USA
11 April – 30 May 2026

Lucio Pozzi took part in Abstract by Definition: An Index, the exhibition with which American Abstract Artists marked its ninetieth anniversary. Held at Art Cake, 214 40th Street, Brooklyn, and curated by the independent curator Saul Ostrow, the show presented works by 90 current members of the association. Ostrow describes it as an invitation to consider the diversity of what "abstract" means: contrasting works were placed side by side to set up an internal dialogue about abstract art across philosophical, historical, etymological and symbolic registers. The opening reception was held on 11 April 2026 and the exhibition remained on view until 30 May, open from Friday to Sunday. The association's page lists a catalogue essay by the curator.
