Katharina Maderthaner in the curatorial team of Do Worry Be Happy at Kunsthalle Barmen

Kunsthalle Barmen in Wuppertal presents the group exhibition Do Worry Be Happy from 23 May to 31 August 2025. According to the Wuppertal newspaper Die Stadtzeitung, the exhibition was developed on the initiative of Momo Trommer and the curatorial team of Kunsthalle Barmen: Katja Pfeiffer, Katharina Maderthaner, Christoph Westermeier and Sebastian Bartel. Installations, paintings, photographs and video works deal with worries, fears and strategies for coping with them. Established artists are shown alongside emerging artists and art students of Bergische Universität Wuppertal. The artists include Svenja Biedenbach, Pink Büchsenschütz, Tudor Ciurescu, Francisco de Goya, Luna De Luca, Frankfurter Hauptschule, Selma Gültoprak, Jonas Habrich, Ivo Kiefer, Jody Korbach, Christiane Möbus, Ben Joy Muin, Daniel Richter, Tim Sandow, Toni Schmale, Nasan Tur, Samira Turan and Rachel Youn. Maderthaner does not exhibit works of her own.
