Jáchym Fleig was one of the artists selected for the Donaueschinger Regionale 2026, held in the Bartók-Saal of the Donauhallen in Donaueschingen, Germany, from 2 to 24 May 2026. The exhibition was founded in 2003 as Donaueschinger Regionale für Neue Kunst and takes place every two years. For this edition a five-member jury — Andrea Dreher, Marcel van Eeden, Wolfgang Faller, Ralf Michael Fischer and Thomas Putze — chose 62 artists and three artist duos from 268 applicants, showing 56 pictures, 34 objects and sculptures and three videos. The exhibition architecture was by Stefan Simon. The Donaueschinger Kunstpreis, presented at the opening on 1 May 2026, went to Katharina Büttgen.
