On 23 June 2026 Francesca Polizzi took part in La herida abierta. Sobre el impacto del sida en las artes, a meeting held at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo and devoted to the impact of AIDS on the arts. The event took place from 3.30 pm to 6 pm in room PF11 of Palazzo Fernandez, the Academy's building in Via Papireto. According to the Academy's announcement, the meeting was introduced by Modesta Di Paola, of the University of Malaga, together with Polizzi, who is presented as a doctoral candidate. The greetings were given by Alessandra Buccheri, coordinator of the doctoral programme in Pratiche artistiche e storia dell'arte, within which the meeting was organised.
