Francesca Polizzi presents Beringia in Generazione Sicilia: collezione Elenk'art / Longo – Polizzi, Alcamo

From 28 March to 31 May 2026 the Cittadella dei Giovani in Alcamo hosts Generazione Sicilia: collezione Elenk'art / Longo – Polizzi, a two-person exhibition of Loredana Longo and Francesca Polizzi curated by Alessandro Pinto and Sergio Troisi. The show is a stage of Generazione Sicilia, a project in the programme of Gibellina Capitale Italiana dell'Arte Contemporanea 2026 built around the Elenk'art collection. Polizzi presents the project Beringia, Longo It's not yet dark / Non è ancora notte fonda. According to the press release, Polizzi's work starts from wool, wax, rosin and resin, used to make unstable sculptural bodies that keep the memory of the processes that produced them, held by metal structures that act as both support and constraint. The exhibition, set in the former slaughterhouse, brings the two artists together around conflict, memory and the transformation of matter. The opening was on 28 March at 6 pm.
