A new monumental, site-specific sculpture by Daniele Franzella has been installed at the ancient gate of the historic centre of Tusa (Messina), in Largo Notarile. The work is the core of Antiquarium, the 2025–2026 edition of Factus – Festival di Arte Contemporanea Tusa, curated by Alessandro Pinto. It is built by assembling, recomposing and enlarging details of the ancient statue traditionally identified with Claudio Pulcro, a sculpture of the Antonine period from Halaesa Arconidea now kept in the Antiquarium of Tusa. The project is organised by Factus and Santo Di Salvo with the Comune di Tusa and the Parco Archeologico di Tindari, under the patronage of Museo Riso, and is funded through the PNRR programme "Attrattività dei Borghi". The sculpture was presented on Friday 24 July 2026 at 7 pm, after a press conference at the town hall at 6 pm.
