Frauke Berg

Drawing is the point of departure for Frauke Berg’s artistic practice, forming the very foundation of her work. Through drawing, she attempts to articulate something that is difficult to grasp through language alone. For Berg, drawing is a form of speaking—a way of addressing contingencies without fully resolving them.
Emerging from this mode of thinking through drawing, her artistic practice has steadily expanded and now encompasses, alongside drawing, work with porcelain, sound, music, and film.
